Reading Comprehensions

The sheets below have one star, two star and three stars on them. If you are reading below stage please read one star, stages 6 - 9 please read stage 3, stage 10 or above please read the three star paper.

English

Monday - To listen and respond to a story In this lesson, we will listen to a story and discuss our favourite moments. We will then draw pictures of these moments and add labels to describe them in more detail.

Tuesday - To tell a story from memory In this lesson, we will learn to tell the story from memory using a process called 'Map, Step, Speak'.

Wednesday - To build descriptive language In this lesson, we will build descriptive language in our stories through song.

Thursday - To use descriptive noun phrases In this lesson, we will learn how to use expanded noun phrases to help describe characters in the story more vividly.

Friday - To retrieve information In this lesson, we will be practising our retrieval skills, learning how to find important information in the text.
