During school closure parents can download Read&Write software for free. This is usually something schools subscribe to and pay for, Support for Learning team have managed to get a code for free access for Bracknell Forest parents. You can use it on a home computer (there is also a tablet version). This is a really good assistive software with a range of features including support with reading text out loud, understanding unfamiliar words, researching assignments, word prediction for writing and proofing written work. It’s also widely used as a computer reader for school examinations at all levels. (Details below).
