Applying for a DBS certificate

If you would like to come into school to help the children with their reading, act as a helper on school trips or attend Y1 Sharing Afternoons, you will need to complete a DBS application.

Please follow the steps below and read these instructions if you would like to apply:

We require all of our volunteers to read the Keeping Children Safe in Education document and also complete training courses linked with this document and safeguarding. The links can be found in the document attached below. Please return any certificates to pa@binfieldschool.com or print and deliver to our reception.

We also require volunteers to read our Volunteer Policy (attached below), complete the relevant pages and return them to pa@binfieldschool.com alternatively you can print and hand deliver to our reception.

After you have completed the above steps, please then request your DBS following the steps in the document attached below. Please note we require 3 forms of ID to support this application, please bring these to our reception.

Once your DBS check has been successfully processed, we will need a photograph in order to make you a visitors badge.  Please email this to pa@binfieldschool.com
