Today, we are going to focus on the poem called ‘The Cave of Curiosity’.

1. Read the poem and see if you can identify any of the literary devices that we have been looking at this week:

• Personification
• Alliteration
• Similes
• Metaphors

2. Now, have a think about objects that you may have around the house. How can you use abstract nouns to describe them? For example, object= cupboard, the abstract noun used to describe it would be a cupboard of wonders. Have a go!
