Today we are learning about character descriptions. Julia Donaldson describes the Gruffalo all the way through her story. You can listen again if you need to, just go back to the Tuesday page. Today please start your lesson by drawing a Gruffalo and then label the features.

This is an example of what you could write:
The petrifying Gruffalo began the story as a monstrous fierce creature, with glowing orange eyes, which reminded me of a dragon. At the end of the story Julia Donaldson showed that he wasn't that fierce, as he was scared of a tiny meek mouse!
