This week we are beginning to write our own version of the story 'We're going on a Bear Hunt'. Last week we learned the story of 'We're going on a Shark Hunt'. This week you will need to research your own animal and where they live to create your own version.
Tuesday - Draw a picture of your animal and label it using adjectives.
Challenge: Can you use expanded noun phrases? Brown, rough skin
Wednesday - Where will your story go?
Draw a story map to show where you will go on your journey. Think about where your animal lives and where their natural habitat it. You may wish to use a comic strip to help you.
Thursday - Please write your opening paragraph based on your previous learning. Change the red words so they fit your story.
We're going on a bear hunt. We're going to catch a big one. What a beautiful day! We're not scared.
Friday - Your first stop! Change the red words to suit your story.
Uh-uh! Grass! Long wavy grass. We can't go over it. We can't go under it. Oh no! We've got to go through it! Swishy swashy! Swishy swashy! Swishy swashy!
Please print and complete or talk through the worksheets as you watch the videos.
