Harvest Festival services for the children were held on Thursday 12th October – KS2 walked to St Mark’s Church for their celebrations, and Reception/KS1 held their service in school.
While KS1 learned about what harvest means and why we give to those less fortunate, KS2 classes presented to their fellow pupils on Fairtrade, food banks, plastic food packaging and food miles. The children worked extremely hard on their presentations, which were both entertaining and thought-provoking.
As usual, we were inundated with donations from our parents and carers, for which we are extremely grateful. These will be passed on to Wokingham Foodbank shortly.
