Senior Leadership Team

Suzie

Mrs Suzie Featherstone-Wright – Headteacher
I have been the Headteacher here since 1st September 2011, but have been at Binfield CE Primary School (VA) since September 2002 in the role of  Deputy Headteacher. Over this time I have seen the school develop and grow. Binfield is a very supportive village with a strong community spirit which permeates throughout the school. I very much look forward to working with all stakeholders in the Binfield community to continue to enable the school and the village to prosper.

Mrs Kerry Mistry – Deputy Headteacher
I am very pleased to be part of Binfield School’s happy and positive  community, having joined in April 2017.  I am enjoying getting to know all of the children and, having spent the latter part of my career in KS2, relish the opportunity of spending more time with KS1 and Reception.

In school, my main passion is English, as well as the use of technology to enrich and enhance learning.  In my spare time, I am kept busy by my two young children and enjoy spending precious time with my family.

I am excited to be working with all members of the Binfield Community and helping the school to continue to flourish.

Mrs Philippa Brazell – Assistant Head, Key Stage 1
I am the Assistant Head Teacher for KS1 and currently teach in Year 2.  I joined Binfield in 2011 and currently lead Maths across the whole school.  I am also responsible for ensuring Binfield remains an Advanced Thinking School and am keen to ensure children develop the skills to become independent learners.   In my spare time I enjoy walking, eating out and spending time with my friends and family.

Miss Katy Hughes – Acting Assistant Head, Lower Key Stage 2
I started at Binfield in September 2013 and am currently teaching in Year 4.  In my spare time I like to be active and do try to lead a healthy lifestyle. I love to spend lots of time walking my dog and running with friends and at my local club.  This academic year I am the Science subject leader. I particularly enjoy teaching Science because I love how children respond to learning about the world around them.

Mrs Kate MacKrell – Assistant Head,  Upper Key Stage 2
I have been teaching at Binfield CE School (VA) since September 2009 (back when I was Miss Betts!) and I love working at such a devoted, supportive and forward-thinking school.  I teach Year 6 and am also Assistant Headteacher and Team Leader for Years 5 and 6.

In addition to this, I am also passionate about computing in the school and am heading the school’s Technology Project, which will transform our students’ opportunities for learning in a digital age!

I have a love for music, enjoy taking singing sessions for KS1 and KS2 and am looking forward to re-starting the choir now that I am back working full-time after maternity leave.

Miss Amanda Wilson – School Business Manager
I joined Binfield in September 2017, having worked as a Bursar/School Business Manager since 2000. My main role is to manage the school’s budget, facilities and services and to ensure that the funding we receive is used to provide the best education and learning environment for our pupils. In my free time I like to travel, swim and do pilates.
