Senior Leadership Team

Mrs Suzie Featherstone-Wright – HeadteacherSuzie

I have been the Headteacher here since 1st September 2011, but have been at Binfield CE Primary School (VA) since September 2002 in the role of  Deputy Headteacher. Over this time I have seen the school develop and grow. Binfield is a very supportive village with a strong community spirit which permeates throughout the school. I very much look forward to working with all stakeholders in the Binfield community to continue to enable the school and the village to prosper.

Mrs Kerry Mistry – Deputy Headteacher

I am very pleased to be joining Binfield School and immersing myself in its happy and positive community. I am excited to get to know all of the children and, having spent the latter part of my career in KS2, I am looking forward to having the opportunity to spend more time with KS1 and Reception.

In school, my main passion is English, as well as the use of technology to enrich and enhance learning.  In my spare time, I am kept busy by my two young children and enjoy spending precious time with my family.

I am excited to be working with all members of the Binfield Community and helping the school to continue to flourish.

Mrs Philippa Brazell – Assistant Head – Key Stage 1

I currently teach in Year 2 and am Assistant Head Teacher for KS1, having joined Binfield in September 2011.  I lead Maths and Thinking Skills across the school. I have previously taught in both Year 1 and Year 2, having spent several years working as a Teaching Assistant while my family were young.  In my spare time I enjoy walking, eating out and spending time with my friends and family.

Miss Sarah Frankel – Assistant Head – Lower Key Stage 2

I joined Binfield CE Primary School (VA) in January 2014. I am currently teaching in Year 4, having previously taught across Key Stage 2.  I am particularly interested in thinking skills and enjoy using thinking hats, power tools and Philosophy for Children to help stretch the mind and see things in different ways. I am working with the staff and pupils here at Binfield to try to develop our thinking skills further, including running a Thinking Council.  I am also working with Mrs Brazell as subject co-ordinator for Maths and we are working hard to develop teaching and learning throughout the school.  In my spare time I enjoy drawing, painting, exercising and going to concerts or to the theatre.

mackrell-kateMrs Kate MacKrell – Assistant Head – Upper Key Stage 2

I have been teaching at Binfield CE School (VA) since September 2009 (back when I was Miss Betts!) and I love working at such a devoted, supportive and forward-thinking school.  I teach Year 6 and am also Assistant Headteacher and Team Leader for Years 5 and 6.

In addition to this, I am also passionate about computing in the school and am heading the school’s Technology Project, which will transform our students’ opportunities for learning in a digital age!

I have a love for music, enjoy taking singing sessions for KS1 and KS2 and am looking forward to re-starting the choir now that I am back working full-time after maternity leave.

Mrs Lynne Moore – School Business Manager

I joined Binfield in September 2013, having worked as a School Bursar/Business Manager since 2005. I manage the school’s budget, facilities and services and aim to ensure we always use our resources wisely. Getting value for money is very important in providing the very best education for our pupils. I really enjoy the School Business Manager’s role as it is extremely varied! In my free time I love to get out into the woods to go orienteering and I also enjoy playing guitar.
